Ardmore's signature earthy peat aromas mingle with understated rich fruit, spent fireworks, clove rock and lime zest to form an exceptionally enticing tone. The palate is chewy and wonderfully balanced, with the turf-like peat character; it feels very gentle, especially with a little water added. More earthy fruit notes appear on the palate with grilled lime, cedar wood and hessian. Peat smoke shows more fully on the finish, giving a lingering note of cedar boxes and ash. This is Highland whisky at its characterful, idyosyncratic best.
